FOR TRADING JOURNALS AND PLATFORMS
Behavioural measurement inside your product — with no user records leaving your systems.
Journals and trading platforms can show their users their plan gap: the difference between how they planned to trade and how they did. The first measure is the disposition effect — how readily they close winning positions versus losing ones — computed by our public measurement script. You host it and run it; we never receive user records.

Run a copy-trading platform? See the copy-leader persistence test. Does your marketing say your journal or platform changes how traders behave? See the claims substantiation test.
For the first three partners
- A free 12-month commercial licence to run the script in your product.
- A co-published study about your users, in aggregate only, with small groups suppressed and your platform named as data partner if you agree. You see the draft before publication and can correct facts about your platform; you cannot change a result.
- Public code. Your engineers can read every line before running it: one Python file, standard library only, no network calls. partner/ →
- No user records leave your systems; only aggregate counts, and only for the co-published study you agree to.
- No referral fees, either way. We don’t pay or take commissions, and we don’t recommend firms or platforms.
After 12 months: continuing is optional; any fee is agreed in writing before renewal.
What we ask in return
Attribution (“Method: donttrade”, with a link) and the aggregate counts for the co-published study.
What the script needs
A five-column extract, one row per open position per day. The export guide defines it, and make_fixture.py writes a synthetic file to test with.
